I am becoming more and more aware of the need for thoughtful editing and restraint when sharing information in any forum. In particular, though, special care should be given before listing personal information in a business or professional setting much as one would be careful about what they would do or say in a business office or workplace.
Justin, This is a really good point. I know that employers are now looking people up on Facebook and other social sites and making decisions base on what they see. Not much is private unless you just don't type it.

This is probably one of the more important points. As professionals it is very important to make sure that we present ourselves as such. Social sites are great, but they can get you into a lot of trouble if you are not careful.

Justin,
That has always been my fear I am not the one to update my status on facebook or let alone let people no where I live. Nothing is private anymore and all of these social networking sites want to make everything public. Also these new technologies are useful only if your district allows it.
